About Leadership Growth Solutions
Leadership matters. That belief is the centering principle of my work.
Leaders are people. I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with very senior leaders for most of my career. As powerful and important as they are, they are also just people. They can never be perfect. But the pressure to perform, and the expectations for consistent top results are unrelenting. This is why I approach leadership development with a balance of challenge and compassion; challenge for leaders to continue to grow in their roles, and compassion for the pressures of leadership.
Organizations are shadows of their leaders. The shadow that the leader casts has a profound effect on people, organization, and results. When leaders are more effective, the impact can be seen on individuals, teams, and ultimately, the bottom line. Therefore, leaders matter. They matter because they are role models, they impact performance, and they influence what others believe, think and do. They create trust, or they erode it. They engage others, or they deplete energy.
Leadership Development makes a difference. Leadership happens at the intersection of three factors: the leader, the team, and the organization. The nature of leadership is complex and dynamic. Leaders who choose to learn and develop will outperform those who don’t. Teams that focus on development will outperform those who don’t. Organizations that succeed place development at the top of their business priorities.
Leadership matters.
